What format is the output file?

The output is a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file that can be opened directly in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or any spreadsheet application. CSV is universally supported and preserves all the pixel data.

Why use downsampling?

A typical photo can have millions of pixels (e.g., a 3000x2000 image = 6 million rows). Downsampling by 10x reduces this to 60,000 rows, making the file manageable in spreadsheets while preserving the overall color patterns.

What's the difference between RGB and Grayscale mode?

RGB mode outputs 4 columns per pixel (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha values 0-255). Grayscale mode calculates a single luminance value (0-255) using the standard formula: 0.299R + 0.587G + 0.114B, producing smaller files.

Can I convert the data back to an image?

Yes! With the X,Y coordinates and color values, you can reconstruct the image using Excel formulas, Python, or other tools. This is useful for verifying data integrity or applying transformations.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no strict limit, but very large images may slow down your browser. For images larger than 5000x5000 pixels, we recommend using a downsampling factor of 5 or higher to keep the output manageable.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas. Your images never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
